CHARDONNAY
The international vogue for Chardonnay has led to its adoption in the Valais where it expresses itself with a certain panache, combining aromas of flowers and fruit. It offers a dense and stimulating flesh of great distinction. Certain producers vinify it in oak barrels, while others produce a sparkling wine. Depending on the type of vinification, Chardonnay wines may be best drunk young, but in some cases they can be kept for some years.
