MALVOISIE

The Pinot Gris, called Malvoisie in the Valais, loves the heat. Sheltered hollows and terraces roasting in the sun gratify that desire, tinting its fruit rose and violet. Always fiery and generous, the Malvoisie wears a robe of lofty gold, while delicate aromas of fresh moss and camomile perfume its tender, languorous flesh. It is vinified for mellowness, enriched by a velvety roundness. It is a good keeping wine (five to ten years).
