AMIGNE

The Amigne grape stems from a family of authentic Valais varieties and is happiest in the soil of the Vétroz vineyard. It develops a powerful bouquet with a superb range of aromas, including fragrances of honey and fresh nut. These impressions are confirmed on the palate, where they are underpinned by generous sap and vinous roundness. Once it withers, the Amigne has an angelic delicacy, masking a distinct acidity which is the guarantee of longevity. A keeping wine, then, one which can improve with ageing over ten or even twenty years.
